2025 Update

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

After a pretty rough end to last year, Kevin, Pumpkin, and I are back in full force. With the LGBTQ community’s rights actively being stripped away, there is no better time to get your affairs in order. We are the only queer couple (with a very cute dog) in San Francisco focusing on Estate Plans, including trusts and wills. If you are over the age of 50 or if you have minor children, you need an estate plan, but it is beneficial for everyone, especially queer people.

We are planning to raise our prices for Estate Planning Services on July 1, 2025. So now (through Pride) is a very good time to take care of your Estate Plan and lock in our current price structure, which is very competitive.

A lot of people are needing help with a lot of legal issues right now. I’ve been slowly and organically narrowing my scope of services, but I’m still always happy to help you find a referral for your issue.

I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the two nonprofit organizations I’m working with right now, both focused on trans rights. The first is Identity Affirmation Workshop, which I run mostly by myself, which provides free legal and form-filling services to people legally changing their name and/or gender. The second is a new nonprofit called Trans-Continental Freedom, which focuses on relocating vulnerable LGBTQ, and especially trans, people, out of unsafe areas and living situations, to safer areas and situations within the United States. If you’re looking to make a difference for the trans community, please consider donating to one or both of these organizations.

In Solidarity, Alexis

Safety and Accessibility

For new client intakes, Alexis gives you the option to meet via Zoom or in person in their Castro District office. Alexis is fully vaccinated (including boosters, most recently in Sept. 2024) against COVID-19.

Please note that Alexis’s office is on the second floor of a building with only stairs. If an in-person meeting is desired and the office is not physically accessible to you for any reason, Alexis will come to your home or another convenient location at no cost.

Hours listed on Google are accurate and kept up-to-date, but timing is always flexible depending on your needs. If none of the appointment slots online work for you, call or email Alexis and we’ll set up a custom appointment for you.
