New Name, Same Great Services
Dear Neighbors and Friends,
You may notice something different here: my name. This website is for the attorney, activist, and community leader formerly known as Alex B. Lemberg. But no more! I am proud to reintroduce myself, personally and professionally, as Alexis Blythe Levy.
My new name has been brewing for many years, but in May 2024, I finally decided to make it official. I would appreciate if you would call me Alexis or Mx. Levy. I still use they/them/their pronouns and use the title Mx. (pronounced “Mix”), in place of Ms. or Mr. I also appreciate your kindness and understanding as I begin to socially and visually transition further into my non-binary identity.
My first name is quite close to my original one, but Alexis was my drag name and one I’ve always held close to my heart. My middle name, Blythe, was chosen among names starting with “B” that I liked. And my last name, Levy, was my maternal grandparents’ last name. I kept the initials my mom gave me, ABL, together with the E that I added later after passing the bar exam and becoming an Esquire.
Pretty much everything on this website has stayed the same, but since I changed my name, and my business is attached to my name, I had to transition my old domain name to this new one. I’ve also updated my professional email address accordingly, to alexis@alexisblevy.com. All current and past clients will be receiving an email to this effect.
I am still focusing on Estate Planning and working with Small Businesses and Nonprofits, but everything listed on this website are still areas that I am working in. Alexis (they/them), on the right, is a Jewish, queer, non-binary, Bay Area native, who has made San Francisco’s Castro District their home since 2013. They live with their husband, Kevin Cureton, and legal assistant/dog, Pumpkin.

Safety and Accessibility
For new client intakes, Alexis gives you the option to meet via Zoom or in person in their Castro District office. Alexis is fully vaccinated (including boosters, most recently in Sept. 2023) against COVID-19.
Please note that Alexis’s office is on the second floor of a building with only stairs. If an in-person meeting is desired and the office is not physically accessible to you for any reason, Alexis will come to your home or another convenient location at no cost.
